Tanks Leo
2017 AQHA Buckskin Gelding
OWNER DESCRIPTION:
Tanks Leo
Tanks Leo is a 2017 AQHA registered buckskin gelding
standing 15.1 hands tall. He is a gorgeous dapple buckskin,
well built, and made the way a good gelding should be.
We have owned Tank for the past five years, and he has
truly been one of our family’s favorite horses.
Tank is extremely broke to ride, kind, gentle, and easy to
operate. He has a great one hand neck rein, all the right
buttons, and is very user friendly. He lopes quiet, graceful
circles, picks up his correct leads, has a big sliding stop,
and will turn around correctly both directions, fast or slow.
Tank is a very good cow horse. He will lock onto a cow in
the sorting pen and not let one sneak past him. He has
roped and drug thousands of calves to the branding fire
and has been used every spring to head and heel calves at
brandings. He is also an accomplished money earning
team roping horse that has been hauled and won on at
jackpots, rodeos, and the Wrangler year end Team Roping
Finals. You can head or heel on him, and he is equally
good on both ends.
Outside the arena, Tank is just as enjoyable.
He walks outconfidently on a loose rein, crosses water, steps over
deadfall and brush, and handles rough country with ease.
He is quiet, surefooted, and safe out on the trail or on the
ranch.
Tank is gentle every time, even with time off, and saddles
up the same. He is easy to catch, usually coming to find
you if he can, and you can jump on him bareback and ride
him back to the barn. He is also trained to sidestep over to
a mounting block, fence, stump, or rock when you
smooch to him, then wait patiently while you get on.
Tank has no bad habits and is good to bathe, trailer, and
shoe. He sells 100% sound with a pre-purchase exam, and
we will stand behind him. We cannot say enough good
about this gelding. He has been a special horse to our
family and will be greatly missed.
